Content Management System (CMS)

A Content Management System (CMS) refers to software that allows you to update your web site on your own. In other words, you do not need a web designer to update your web site – you can do it on your own!

Content Management System (CMS)

For every web site that we build, we provide you with a Content Management System so that you can update your web site on your own. CMS systems are made especially for non-technical users, and are very easy to learn so that you can start updating your web site right away. The software takes care of all the hard stuff, so that you can concentrate on editing the content of your web site.

Our favorite CMS software is Adobe Contribute, since it is very easy to use and is made by a company that you know will be around in the future. This software comes with a built-in tutorial, which will get you off to a quick start. We also offer a more detailed 5-hour online training course that you can take at your own pace.

Update Your Own Web Site

You can easily update the content on any page of your web site. You can add text, images, and even link to documents such as PDF, Word, or Excel files. You can add new pages, or delete pages at any time. Backups of old pages are automatically saved, so that you can revert to a page if you make a mistake or want to go back to a previous version. You can even save pages as drafts, and then email them to your colleagues for review.

No Ongoing Costs

One of the best things about our CMS system is that you can update your web site without any ongoing costs. Without a CMS system, you would need to contact a web designer to update your site, and pay the associated web maintenance fees, which can really add up.
